Notary Guidelines & Policies and Frequently Asked Question
At My Mobile Notary Public Services, our goal is to make every signing smooth and stress-free. To help ensure your appointment goes as planned, please review the following guidelines and policies. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to help!
What is a notarized signature?
A notarized signature is when a signer signs a document, and the notary verifies and signs it as well.
Can I stop by your office without an appointment?
No. We do not offer walk-in notary services, and the office is not staffed with a Notary Public during regular business hours. All services are provided by appointment only. If you request an appointment at the listed business address, a deposit is required and a mobile appointment/travel fee may apply and will be quoted in advance.
What forms of identification are accepted?
Acceptable IDs must be current (not expired) and you must be in possession of the physical the ID:
Does my name on my ID need to match my document?
Yes. The name on your ID must match the name on the document. The name on the documents cannot include more names than what your ID shows.
What if I need help choosing or completing my documents?
Notary Services Only:
If you are scheduling a notary appointment only, the notary cannot select documents for you, tell you which document you need, provide legal advice, or determine whether a document has been completed correctly. Documents should be completed before the appointment, but should not be signed or dated until instructed by the notary.
If documents are incomplete at the time of the appointment and additional time is required, a waiting fee of $25 may be charged.
If you need assistance determining which documents to use or how to protect your legal rights, you should consult a licensed attorney.
Legal Document Assistant (LDA) Services:
As a registered California Legal Document Assistant, I may prepare legal documents at your specific direction and provide self-help services authorized by California law. However, I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice, legal opinions, legal strategy, or recommendations regarding which documents are appropriate for your situation. You are responsible for selecting the documents you want prepared and for reviewing all completed documents before signing.
If you are unsure which document best meets your needs or require legal advice regarding your rights, obligations, or legal options, you should consult a licensed attorney before proceeding.
Rates are subject to change based on your number of notarized signatures / location / date and time / need for additional witnesses. Fees on appointment page are for the city of Victorville, Hesperia, and Apple Valley. No. California Notary Public law requires that the signer communicate directly with the notary. Translators cannot be used. Please schedule your appointment with Allison if you require a Spanish speaking notary. If you require a notary in a different language, please let us know as we may be able to help coordinate this.
Can appointments be canceled or rescheduled?
Yes! We understand that plans change.
